Diversion at York

Parts of the Foss Islands Path east of York city centre will be closed from the 9th September until the 10th October to renew underground electrical cables.

Diversion signing will be in place to get you back onto the route in either direction.

The new piazza outside the South Transept of York Minster is now open, with a route for cyclists created in natural stone setts as part of this eye-catching transformation. It's a great place to pause and appreciate this marvellous medieval building. Underground chambers have recently been opened up to reveal 2,000 years of history in an exciting way - http://www.yorkminster.org.uk

There's also a special Richard 111 King and County exhibition at the Yorkshire Museum near Bootham Bar until the 13th October - http://www.yorkshiremuseum.org.uk
