October on the Way of the Roses?

I found this picture on our Twitter feed from John Padgett who, with his brother, and despite the colder weather and shorter days, completed the route late October. Seeing this image, reminded me of last year when during 'Twixmas' we drove the route doing research for the Guide Book and passed, on several occasions a young couple cycling the route in the most appalling wind and rain. We never did find out who they were but we would have liked to have mentioned them on our Gallery Page.
If you know who they were or you're going to be the last to cycle the route in 2013 or, first in 2014, it would be great to hear from you.
