York Riverside Path Closed until April, 2015

A short section of the riverside route in York will be closed, until early next April, to facilitate work on the Scarborough Bridge which crosses the river. A diversion route will be signed. Specifically, the closure will affect Railway Walk alongside Marygate Car Park between the riverside path and the subway leading to Bootham Terrace. The signed diversion will take Way of the Roses cyclists left immediately before the bridge (up and down a few shallow steps) onto Longfield Terrace and up along Bootham Terrace into the city centre as normal.
