Yorkshire Welcomes the Worlds

From the 21-29 September the UCI World Race Championships take place in around Harrogate. From the Tuesday onwards all the planned routes for the various races impact on the Yorkshire Dales / Nidderdale AONB section Way of the Roses to varying degrees, so you could experience some delay depending on the time of day.

It will be the first time that Britain has hosted the since 1982. The racing will commence on the Saturday 21st September with a ground-breaking para-cycling event running alongside the Championships (between Beverley and Harrogate) which will act as a qualifier for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Large crowds are anticipated for this and the other events - after all it is Yorkshire.

There’s also a Sportive on Sunday 22 September.
